Urgent.Agency has made a commitment to critically address our environmental and societal impact. In the past three years we have significantly reduced CO2 emissions generated by our workspace, engaged in non-profit initiatives and partnerships and communicated and shared our findings along the way.
One key insight from the past years has been that our efforts are most effectively put to use and have the most impact in partnerships with other agents of change. Building on these experiences and insights we are now launching a new initiative: Urgent.Call
Urgent.Call is an open call to innovators and changemakers working towards addressing some of the most urgent environmental, social and institutional challenges facing our planet today.
This year we will select one applicant to partner with through this open call. Together, we join forces and boost the chosen applicant’s mission through design, strategy, communication and/or activation.
We are looking for a partner who is working towards addressing challenges related to SDG #4: Quality Education. You might be a sustainable entrepreneur, a CSO*, a small NGO, a sustainable business or any other changemaker. What matters to us is that your project is urgent. Urgent for you, urgent for the world and has the potential for real impact.

We are offering our full range of services within strategy, design, activation, communication and beyond to potential applicants. The selected candidate will be offered a tailored solution to strengthen their organisational capacity or elevate specific initiatives or project(s).
We offer a comprehensive process within our key overarching services; strategy, design or activation. We will reach out to the winner in April and engage with the partner in August 2023 – guaranteeing the equivalent of 200 work hours and provide a team comprising the skills and competences needed to complete the project. Applicants must document and state how one or more of our services might benefit and advance their organisation, project or idea.

We are working within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and each annual call will focus on one specific SDG. This year SDG 4, Quality Education will be the focus point when choosing a partner for the Urgent.Call 2023 collaboration.
Since 2000, there has been enormous progress in achieving the target of universal primary education. The total enrolment rate in developing regions reached 91 percent in 2015, and the worldwide number of children out of school has dropped by almost half.
But progress has also been tough in some developing regions due to high levels of poverty, armed conflicts and other emergencies. Children from the poorest households are up to four times more likely to be out of school than those of the richest households – and disparities between rural and urban areas still remain high. Achieving inclusive and quality education for all reaffirms the belief that education is one of the most powerful and proven vehicles for sustainable development.
Potential applicants for this year's Urgent.Call will have to demonstrate how their organisation, project or solution directly benefits SDG4: Quality Education and one or more of the specific targets related to the goal.
