In accordance with our sustainability commitment, we have donated money to Andelsgaarde, an initiative that aims to contribute to the binding of CO2 to the soil through diverse and sustainable farming and reforestation. Thus, one could say that we have put the money where our heart is.
2020 was the first year of Urgent.Agency’s sustainability Commitment and the results were surprisingly good (albeit aided along by the pandemic) – you can read more about it here. But let’s face it, there is only so much one single agency can do in terms of CO2 reduction, so as the year came to a close, our two founders Christian Pagh and Mads Quistgaard decided to go one further and donate 250.000 DKK to a very worthy cause. It also happened to be the last grand gesture of this duo before Christian continued on as Director of the Oslo Architecture Triennale.
Andelsgaarde is an absolutely brilliant initiative that has the clear-set goal of reclaiming Danish farmland one farm at a time and contributing to the binding of CO2 to the soil – all achieved through diverse and sustainable farming and reforestation. The organization is membership-driven which basically means that Urgent.Agency is now the lucky co-owners of two sustainable farms – so far! We urge all of you to check out the good people of Andelsgaardeand join us in reclaiming Danish soil one farm at a time!
