It’s all in the name, really. Tomorrow Festival is on a mission to bring about a sustainable future by bridging science, arts, business, activism, and policy. A brand new festival dedicated to inspire, educate and push forward real and actionable solutions for our common tomorrow.
1. Challenge
How can Tomorrow Festival establish itself as an instant festival classic while engaging and inspiring a wide audience to live a more sustainable life?
2. Idea
Serious information needs very thoughtful delivery. We wanted to create a distinct festival identity that could convey a feeling of hope, change and resourcefulness to the world’s common burning platform.
3. Solution
We designed a warm, welcoming and almost naive-looking visual identity full of strong colors that are instantly recognizable and demand attention in the urban space, at the festival and on digital platforms.
Tomorrow Festival in Copenhagen is created in the belief that we can change the world. Collectively we can make a difference - and together we can make the future a better place for everyone. Today, many are looking into a bleak future where climate crisis and inequality shape the years to come. Prospects that leave a trail of paralysis. But together we can nurture another future – a better future. Tomorrow Festival will reinstall hope, and give us back our dreams through action. Through inspiration. And through experiences that create behavioral changes.
Tomorrow Festival is a non-profit platform for sustainable change for the many. The festival brings together knowledge, people and disciplines in new communities across traditional boundaries and beliefs. Establishing new communities that motivate the individual to help create a more sustainable future - starting today!
The new brand identity needed to appeal to a broad and diverse target group. Our solution was to create a welcoming and captivating visual identity full of strong colors that are instantly recognizable and demand attention in the urban space, at the festival and on digital platforms. An identity that gives the feeling of sun, warmth and joy – and which embraces everyone and gives them the desire to participate in the festival and concrete sustainable actions.
The new design and brand identity is full of life. The graphic language in the identity works with various friendly forms and abstractions. The color of each element can be changed within a given color palette and combined in different ways – around the always fixed ‘Tomorrow’. The logo is created based on the word ‘tomorrow’ and a sun rising on the horizon – as a symbol of creating a better world tomorrow. Graphically, the sun also functions as the fifth element of the identity.
