Næste is a circular design and construction business on a mission to change the way we use our resources, build and collaborate in the construction industry. We worked with Næste on the launch of the new product and service, the naming, brand identity and website.
Næste’s sheds, built by high quality recycled materials, is adapted to specific functional and aesthetic needs, whether it is for bicycle storage, waste or common space – providing new opportunities for optimisation and use of common areas. The vision is to support concrete behavioural changes among users, customers, industry and society towards a deeper accountability for the limited resources of the Earth.
Considering the architectural aesthetics and vision of Næste, it’s only natural that the logo, colour and typography is modern and original and captures the idea of recycling old building materials. The logotype incorporates an ‘e’ that is up-cycled as an ‘a’ and form a new interpretation of the infinity loop in the ‘æ’. The typography captures the diagonal lines from our inherited architecture and modes of construction. The colour palette is grounded yet surprisingly familiar with the iconic brick red – eye dropped from the Danish rooftops. The identity of Næste underlines the simplicity and value of reusing something old, and shows that it can indeed create something new and compelling.
