If you’ve got it, flaunt it!
The combination of modesty and success is a rare sight nowadays. But then again, Dissing+Weitling isn’t your average architecture company to begin with. With national icons such as the National Bank, Storebælt Bridge and Cykelslangen on their portfolio - while also being the direct professional descendants of Arne Jacobsen - Dissing+Weitling has every reason to boast! Now, with their new strong - yet serene - identity, they are making just the right amount of noise!
Dissing+Weitling work within three fields: mobility, building and renovation. However, they are internationally very known for their many outstanding bridges. So much so, that the photogenic bridges tend to steal the show. That’s why we designed a new family of icons that will give D+W a communication tool to boost and illustrate their work areas more evenly. Using the + as reference point, the icons elegantly interpret the three work areas and function as digital tags on the website.
The website reflects the Dissing+Weitling personality: modest yet impressive. The use of white space adds a sense of calm and focus while allowing D+W to turn up the volume, rhetorically and visually. The type is called Plain - a modern grotesque based on classic modernist traditions.
The digital profile has been boosted on social media where the logo has three graphically tight but colourful version.
As always, the visual identity works on all platforms, formats, shapes and sizes. Seeing that architects often communicate in 3D, we wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if this roll of duct tape turns out to be the most popular mean of communication!
