Mads is a specialist in connecting design practice and strategy and has been driving a broad range of design and branding projects for clients including d’Angleterre, Novo Nordisk, The Danish Parliament, Tate Modern, Bang & Olufsen, Arla and the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. He has 15 years of professional experience, including 3 as Creative Director at Kontrapunkt.
Emilie translates creative visions into well executed strategies through proces leadership, pro-active stakeholder management and a user-centric approach. She draws from competencies within business development, cultural analysis and design methodology. Emilie has an International Diploma in Project Management from UC Berkeley, a MA in Design Management and a B.Sc in Urban Planning and Communication. She has previously worked with agencies like Kontrapunkt and Tackle Studio.
Johanne’s strategic work covers branding processes, concept development and communication – all tied together by a no-nonsense attitude and a creative way with words. She has an MA in Modern Culture and Communication and a background in project and campaign management. Johanne is also our resident film geek and an unapologetic lover of country music.
Benjamin is a multidisciplinary graphic designer with extensive experience in bridging the disciplines of research, design and finish. He holds a BA and MA in Communication Design, and has a background as photographer and cinematographer. Benjamin specializes in visual storytelling and cultivates this talent with his passion project Plethora Magazine.
Michaela has a multidisciplinary approach to her work merging architecture, graphic design and wayfinding to create meaningful solutions for spaces and brands. She has an MA in architecture with a strong focus on type and wayfinding and has previously worked at Kontrapunkt and Duncan McCauley in Berlin. Michaela speaks many languages which is a killer combination with her uncanny nose for fine wine and her own private wine collection.
Ricky is a culture analyst and concept developer with a special love for cities, urban spaces and the people who inhabit them. At Urgent, he works with user involvement, analysis and strategy with an innovative and cross-disciplinary approach. Ricky has an MA in Communication and a background as a curator and cultural entrepreneur. At Urgent, we are in awe of his pet project Øen, where he manages to pull of the coolest of events.
Cecilie holds a BA in Graphic Design and an MA in Design with a focus on Type and Wayfinding. Cecilie has a passion for printed and digital projects within the cultural field, and applies an investigative and analytical approach to her interest areas of typography, type design, identity design, branding and editorial design.
Martin develops strong brand strategies and concepts by means of insight, meaning, and resourcefulness. Martin has previous experience as Creative Director and Copywriter at a creative communication agency called Agenda Group, working within B2B and B2C sectors.
Mette drives home the visual and strategic creations developed within Urgent.Agency with her experienced project leadership. Her philosophy originates within the field of design thinking. Mette has a MSc in Digital Design and Communication from the IT University of Copenhagen and has previously worked at Danish Design Center and the digital agency Berú.
Tao is a graphic designer by training and a digital designer by learning. He finds motivation and meaning in mixing the tangible world and digital space. Despite his title, he enjoys working with analog media and has experience working with photography, illustrations, and printed matter. His play on visual connotations is especially seen in his artistic side project, the online curation Decapitate Animals, which he started in 2009. Tao holds an MA in Graphic Communication Design and a BA in Visual Communication.
Su Yu is a business developer with a strong design background. She holds a BA and MA in industrial design and has become a specialist in understanding and communicating design in different cultural contexts. With many years of experience in design agencies and associations, she always keeps her eye on the creative ball while helping clients achieve the best value possible.
Allan has been working with brand identities for several years and has had a special focus on activating brands on various touch points for numerous international and national clients, especially within the cultural sector. At Urgent.Agency, Allan specializes in identity design, graphic design, digital design and motion design. He has a special interest in designing conceptual and engaging brand experiences and has a natural curiosity for new technologies that can enrich the user experience of both brands and digital products.
Rose Marie is passionate about creating meaningful and tangible experiences that connect people to places. She is motivated by addressing human needs and wellbeing and draws from human cognitive functions such as perception, memory, imagination, language, reasoning, emotion, and decision-making. Rose Marie has previous experience within environmental branding, digital design, and UI design and holds a MA in Graphic Communication Design from The Royal Danish Academy.
Rasmus is a graphic designer who is enthusiastic about photography. He applies a holistic approach in his work and takes pride in finding the best solutions possible in each project, often focused on the technical aspects. Rasmus is educated as a Media Graphic Designer from Henning Larsen Architects. In addition, he holds a BA in Graphic Design from the Danish School of Media and Journalism. Before joining the Urgent.Agency-team he worked as a Graphic Designer at Unisport and at the city development company By & Havn.
Cajus takes care of Urgent.Agency’s accounting. He has been Christian’s go-to man since before they invented the financial crisis. Cajus graces Urgent.Agency with his company twice a week. When Cajus is not whipping our business into shape, he whips everything else into shape: his garden, his building projects and himself. Good thing he is a former Danish champion of Half Marathon!
Jacob makes strong graphic solutions for our clients and with his design, he wants to inspire, solve problems or simply make people stop and look. He has a BA from the Danish School of Media and Journalism and has previously worked with agencies such as Studio Tobias Røder and Kontrapunkt.
Tobias’ practice as a graphic designer is to deliver strong design and communication, revolved around good craftsmanship. He holds a BA in graphic design from The Danish School of Media and Journalism, and is primarily focused on visual identities and typedesign. Before joining the Urgent-team, Tobias worked as a freelance graphic designer, collaborating with musicians, book publishers and other design agencies.
Anna holds a MA in Architecture from The Royal Danish Academy, where she attended the course 'Political Architecture: Critical Sustainability'. She is greatly interested in what architecture does rather than how it looks as well as how the practice is situated in a wider economic, political and social context. Anna has a background from both Danish and French architectural companies.
Morten has a strong background within strategic communication, branding, project management and business development from international architectural companies. He holds a MSc in Business Administration and Organizational Communication from Copenhagen Business School and a BSc in Marketing and Management Communication from Aarhus University.
Christof is a process manager and design thinking devotee with a background in design-driven entrepreneurship and business development. He holds a MSc in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Copenhagen Business School and has previously worked at the Danish Design Center, where he has been running the startup incubators. As the German at Urgent, he counterweighs the creative turmoil with an “Ordnung muss sein” approach and steers the projects into save havens with both the small details and overarching goal kept in sight.
Christoffer is a graphic designer working in the field of digital design, visual communication and identity. He has a conceptual approach to design and strives to create solutions that combine aesthetic storytelling to support and strengthen the core value of brands and its connection to people. In the spare time, you might find Christoffer in the movie theater, building LEGO or playing chef in the kitchen.
Frants is the Managing Director and Partner at Dorte Mandrup, with many years of experience within management and growth in the architectural industry.
Nille is Head of the Nordic branch of B Corp, and a declared corporate activist and movement maker.
